Outer Island Beauty
Not taken after any place in particular this painting reminds me of a secluded outer island beach with no one around for miles. Just the place to unwind and forget about the world. The good news is Hawai'i has many secret little beaches like this.
Acrylic on a big 3' X 5' Canvas. Sold.

Abstract Black and White's
Here are just some abstract black and white paintings I did. Just adding different lighting and wave perspectives to keep it interesting.

Teahupo'o
This painting was an idea I had of making the scene almost as if it were a fish eye photo. The idea was to give you a wide spread area in a small space and make the picture nice and open. I also wanted to demonstrate the shear power a wave like Teahupo'o offers.
The painting is Acrylic and available.

Benjamin

Secret Cove
Here's another painting that was just from the imagination. There are several spots on the outer islands of Hawai'i that resemble this set up. You just have to know how to get there.
In this painting, I really tried to play with how the light would be hitting everything differently. Acrylic on canvas.

Deep Blue Reef
I did this painting with the idea of creating a vantage point from paddling out into a big open reef pass so common in the South Pacific. I wanted to really add a different element to the painting by adding a bit of an abstract sky of blended green's. Although the painting appears to be somewhat simplistic, it was a very time consuming process with the sky and foreground.
Acrylic on canvas. Sold.

Tropical Pointbreak
Here's a painting for every Surfer's dream. An unheard of, desolate point break in a tropical, warm setting. I chose to paint this Black and White as if it were in a dream. Acrylic on canvas, available for sale.

Shore Break
This painting was inspired by the idea of a desolate area on a hidden part of the outer islands of Hawai'i. I thought I would mix it up a bit and painted over canvas and newspaper to give it a little 3D effect. I'm not sure if I'm a big fan of mixed surfaces but this turned out kind've cool.
